MIPCOM 2020 announces that the 36th annual international television content market will be conducted entirely online this year from October 12th to October 16th, in light of the ongoing impact of COVID-19.
MIPCOM (Marché International des Programmes de Communication) is an annual international forum for film and program producers for terrestrial, cable, digital, and satellite television and broadcasting. It typically takes place in the French city of Cannes, usually in October, for four days.
It is a world-class marketplace for the television industry where leading professionals, representatives from television studios and networks, come together to promote popular content, negotiate distribution and co-production deals, and engage face-to-face with creative minds. This allows them to discuss, negotiate, establish and develop prospective business relationships to facilitate productive work throughout the coming year.
MIPCOM offers an extensive conference program that explores new trends, strategic thinking, and business models driving the constantly evolving entertainment industry. The conference program at MIPCOM features around 250 high-profile speakers from around the world, offering opportunities to deepen industry knowledge, explore new business models, and stay up-to-date on the latest entertainment trends. Additionally, MIPCOM hosts world premieres of highly anticipated new programs.
This year, MIPCOM will include the “Main Stage Cannes” online conference and a screening program featuring Global UPFRONTS, keynote presentations, market screenings, the MIPCOM Diversify TV Excellence Awards, and much more.
Furthermore, the Virtual Exhibit Hub and an extended database will allow users to customize targeted, video business meetings between distributors, producers, buyers, and all international delegates.
